Spring airsoft guns are single-shot pistols that use energy stored in a spring to launch a bb down the barrel. You cock the gun prior to each shot much like you would a real shotgun or bolt-action rifle. This is usually done by pulling back the slide, then it compresses the spring and makes the gun ready to fire.
