Gas Airsoft Guns
Gas airsoft guns were originally developed in order to allow for smaller guns like pistols and revolvers where electric mechanisms are not possible. Two types of gas are used to propel BBs, propane (often called green gas by airsoft players) and HFC134a. There are also models available that use gases such as nitrogen and CO2, although they are less common. Realistic airsoft pistols are often gas powered as a blow-back feature is possible.
